My weekend goal

I've been working alot of 6 day weeks, I finally got a 2 day weekend. On Thursday I checked my local weather forcast and there was a good chance that it was going to hail, large hail. It never hails around my place. I had the gas tank out of the new 68 50th stepside I got this week, so I pushed it into my wife's garage. I called her and told her about not to pull in, didn't want her to hit the new baby. Well, she did not like to park outside. She said that I have my on garage and to put the new baby out there. If you look at the pic below, there is no way that another truck can get in there. So last night I started to rearrange my garage. I have to make room for my 70, my 2wd blazer, and my new one 68 50th stepside. The one that I really have to squeeze in is the project truck that started my addiction. I have to try to get it long ways along the back wall. And then try to found room for all the extra parts I have. I don't know why, But selling something, even the small parts, I just can't do. It's mine, I want everything. I not complaining or looking for pity. I'm just that I tell you why I'm not working on the 50th yet. Thanks guys, but any offers to "store parts" will be ignored. haha

Yeah, squeezin the stuff in can be tough. For some reason we just become pack rats from h&*l once we get involved with these vehicles.

BTW, nice home for the vehicles.

Thanks, I just hate to get rid of anything in I might need it. I do sell something once in awhile, but that person always cames to me, i never advertize parts for sale. Do like to help somebody out though.

Sweet garage! You should be able to get everything in there as long as you're patient and take the time organize everything (not just stack it up or move it around like I normally do, ). I think the key will be how well you will be able to find parts later, make sure you mark your boxes carefully......

Re: My weekend goal

Thanks Hart Rod. I got the frame against the back wall and the extra bed moved around yesterday. Then I had to quit because there was a surprize party I had to go to. So today I have to start packing things away. I'm going to try to write down what I have in a notebook.

Re: My weekend goal

VERY NICE GARAGE!!!!! I am so jealous I have a one car and my blazer barley fits in it. If i want to do work on it i have to pull the blazer into the driveway to have room to work. I suggest get some wheel dollys so you can slide the trucks around you just may be able to squeeze them in then.

Re: My weekend goal

Thanks ol'blu72. Yes, some wheel dollys would have been very helpful. I did manage to get all the big things in place. I won't sure you the workbench, it's a complete mess. It was clean when I started. My wife got her garage back, they're calling for rain the next 3 days, so she's happy. Here's some pics of the finished project.

Re: My weekend goal

Just goes to show no matter what size your garage is you always need more space.

Re: My weekend goal

the more space you have the more junk you put in it, at least that is my story..
