Double projects Daughter and Dad
Man am I having a great day. Sunday morning in sunny South Florida.
My daughter shows up at the house with breakfast at the ol homestead and says DaddyO what ya gonna do today. Just chill and watch the race later on today I answered. Lets eat breakfast and get to work on our projects. My daughter Casey has a 82 GMC Serra 1500 long bed and I have a 70 C10 short bed. Casey is an office manager at a law firm but a true gear head at heart. When she was 18 she built and engine form my old VW dirt track car. So the work began with just doing a little cleaning and pressure washing. Wow. I had a ball with Casey and my grandaughter Clara Mae. Clara and I got to take our first ride from the backyard to the front yard in that old 1970 beater. We took a load of pictures but Im having a hard time downloading them to the forum. Some kind of security token problem but as soon as I get it straightened out I will post some pictures. I am a very lucky man. |

vwdemon, if you need to get images on the forum go to www.imageshack.us and upload them there. Then click the box for the forum image code and copy and paste it here.
Hope to see some pictures soon, sounds like you had a good time.

Re: Double projects Daughter and Dad
Glad to hear that you and your daughter had a good time on you alls projects.
The temperature was finally bearable here in southeast Missouri with a nice breeze from the north and temperatures in the 80's instead of the high 90's. This morning my son and his twin 15 year old sons stopped by to check out the old trucks we have out here on the farm and pick up the '73 short bed and various other parts for the project he is working on with a 70 lwb Chevy. While they were here we shot the breeze and kicked tires so to speak making plans on future projects. After we got the '73 loaded on the trailer we put a better hood on my '71. All in all it was a good visit with cooler weather than it has been. Danny

Re: Double projects Daughter and Dad
Yeah, summer has finally arrived in So Cal as well. Palm Springs is set to hit 112 today. Out here in the north San Fernando Valley, we're looking at around 95 - 100° for the next few days.
