Interior question..

well, as i was preping my interior for some paint. i was sitting there thinking what it would look like as raw metal with clear coat? i was wondering if anyone has done this before or has a picture of it

A few years back, this was a common treatment on custom Harleys. You can get the metal real shiny with an acid, but it will oxydize very quickly. Some liked the oxidized look so after letting the metal oxidize, they would then clear coat the metal. Check with some of your local auto paint stores, they may know what chemicals to use. If you do decide to do it, don't forget to post photos

Their was a article about this in one of the car mags like super chevy or car craft? They left bare metal stripes on a chevelle, but if I remember they used some kind of "special" clearcoat.
