Suburban for Parts
I'm just putting this up here to try and help out any members looking for parts. I have no monetary interest in this truck, just trying to help ya'll
I was at the junkyard today scouting for an electric fan for my 67 and came across a 70 Suburban. It was intact body wise, pretty rust free and had all the glass and doors attached. It also had a good dash and both seats still there. Finally, there was a roof rack and roof mounted A/C (looked aftermarket with condensor on the roof). It was at Ecology Auto Parts on highway 76 down in Oceanside, CA. I figured I would toss it up for anybody looking for parts. How long it lasts I don't know, this yard is somewhat busy most weekends.

Re: Suburban for Parts
I hope this tip helps someone out down there. Now if my brother was still stationed @ Pendelton I'd have him scope er out for me.

Re: Suburban for Parts
It had a clamshell tailgate that was in decent shape and the interior was there.

Re: Suburban for Parts
Anyone get parts from it? Or need me to see if there's anything left for ya'll? I can pull and resell at same cost if you need the part.

Re: Suburban for Parts
I need the top hatch of the clamshell (glass part). I'd be happy to pay you for your time if you could pick that up, assuming it's in usuable shape. Let me know, thanks.

Re: Suburban for Parts
if the body is intact, be nice to see someone pull it out and restore it. a truck like that is rare up here in new england. i got lucky finding my low rust 72 burb 2wd 3/4 ton in my home town but i paid through the nose to get it because the son of the original owner wouldn't budge on the steep price. law of supply and demand. i've probably put another grand into parts for it already but its worth it to me in the long run.

Re: Suburban for Parts
If you are there and looking, I could use the two rear seat hold down clamps. Pretty easy to remove and stick in a small bobble wrap mailer. Thanks!
