Woohoo it runs awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Well fella's after not being registered since 2003.My 69 has been blown up and apart. After building 305 shortblock with a nice set of 461 heads and all the goodies. The dang thing wouldn't even climb a hill.It would take off like like crazy and then die and be really hard to start.

Well after changing about every external part on the engine and still the same thing.I decided it was something internal. So built I vortec headed 350.And still the same thing!

So I finnally decided to pull the fuel line and it was clogged.I replaced it with 1/2 inch aluminum tubing. Also a summit 12 gallon fuel cell and performer RPM fuel pump. It's all 1/2 inch to the pump and then 3/8 from the pump to carb.

I also installed a lunati cam with .458 lift.218 duration @.050.After a proper cam break in and some run time just to get everything lined out.

Tonight after bleeding the brakes I finnally got to take her for a spin. And she really runs good!I mean real good.I am soo happy.Hopefully within a few weeks it will have legal plates and insurance. Then I will be happily cruisin this summer.I really really hope I can keep my foot out of it and no grenade it.Even though everything seems fine.

Woohoo!

Re: Woohoo it runs awesome!!!!!!!!!!

Congratulations! I hope to be to the same point in a month or so. I just need to figure out a few things and hopefully I'll be on the road for the first time since 1999.
