rear-end perch differences?

Is there any difference in the angle of the perch for the ladder bars on a rear end between a shortbed and a long bed for a coild spring truck? same year truck in my case its a 71. i.e. did the factory weld on the perches at a slightly different angle for the shortbeds vs. the longbeds to adjust for the difference in pinion angle since the wheelbase is shorter on a shortbed? Thanks.

No, everything is the same from the middle cross member back. To change a long box to a short box you cut/shorten the frame under the cab.
