Have any of you wizzards modified or fabricated the front inner fenders for a different look under the hood? How didja doit and doya have any pictures of this mod or change to the inner fenders.

No I had not looked for the standard fit. My brain fart was that these inner fenders can be modified as in made smaller and give more room with a nice appearance under the hood. Been studying the trailer fender mention . Sketched that on paper and does have some potential. I'll look at the lmc chrome jobbies . But still thinking I want smaller and not so much crowd toward the engine. ( I think thats my thought . Like I said can be called a brain fart. Not sure. Really would like a change under the hood.

the only thing missing is the sheet metal intake!
That cowling could use a good smoooothing as well.

Mines bagged and I stretched mine, I didnt want to use trailer fenders. Alot of work though. The truck before looks awesome, wish I'd have thought about that.

Can you post a picture of the stretch job. Hulk is cool . I can study this a bit more. What is up with the stretch method which way , what does that look like now. Sure would like to see the result.

Now were getting somewhere. Trips my trigger quite abit. Hey the 55 is a great looker too! Been awhile since I had one of them. Are these inner fenders originally trailor fenders ; or are they your own fabrication from start to finish. Reason I press this question is how wide are they and are they bolted to the outside fender. Great looking job imo...Thanks Larry

Looking good . Trailer fenders . I got an idea this is what I was thinking. Didja drill em to bolt to the outside fender or are the mounted some other way. One more ? Is the debris from the road way stopped really well from travel under hood or is there a possibility the radiator is in harms way. Looks good otherwise 2 me...

This is the only other pic I could find of them. The are welded on the top, bolted thru the firewall and made a homemade brace for the front. I had to build a homemade battery bracket so I could put my battery back in its place. It lets it go low.

I don't have any pics but I welded the pocket that came with the hinges into the hood brace. It was pretty easy but got to make sure you don't do it to deep or your bolts will hit the hood when you tighten them.
