ecm for my 6.0l and t56 bellhousing

I bought a 99' 6.0l chevy v-8 about a month ago for my 68' 3/4 ton chevy and it came with a complete harness just no accessories. I have found a ecm out of a 03' avalanche for a good deal. I was wondering if the 03 computer would be compatible with my harness as long as I have it re-programed to run stand alone. I purchased a basket case t-56 out of an 01 firebird and nearly have it back together just no bellhousing. Any info or help would be great.

Thank you
D Smith

That PCM should work just fine. Just have someone flash a 99' tune into it. Not sure what you paid for it but you can get them with a stock tune and a few minor changes (gears, tires, smog delete, etc.) for about $100 all day if needed.

check out ls1truck.com
I seem to remember the 99 and some 00 model 6.0 motors were kind of a step child as far as flexplate/crank snout length...
Not sure if you were aware of this. Have not read anything about the t56 and the older 6.0(iron headed 99-00). Might want to check it out just in case.
