1970 K5 4wd to 2wd TECH HELP NEEDED

Im doing a 2wd conversion on 1 of my 1st gen K5s. This 1 is a 70 4x4 I have a 73-87 2wd complete front cross member. Now what I need is some advise or help on where to mark and how to measure the drilling points on the chassis. I read over and over on this great site there are a few holes needed to drill out in order to mount the 2wd cross member. Thats fine, but where are they and where are the measuring point. I would like to measure twice and drill once. Any help is greatly appreciated.
