Do you see anything wrong
with this pulley set-up?
First on belt...harmonic balancer...fan pulley ...power steering pump. Second belt...harmonic balancer ..fan pulley...alternator pulley. Doing the fitting before the install.. Bob |

I would not run two belts to the harmonic balancer and water pump. I would run the power steering directly off the harmonic balancer, skip the water pump.

The factory ran the power steering belt over the water pump.....besides I don't think you can just run it from the balancer without touching the water pump pulley.

All my small blocks have always run from the harmonic balancer to the power steering directly with no problems...

one of these things are not like the others what kind of manifolds are you gonna run? on all my small blocks, the p/s belt ran around the water pump, don't see what it would hurt, they all turn the same speed, the more belt to pulley contact you have the better IMO what is the black bracket sticking up over the driver's side valve cover?

That's what I was thinking as far as pulley arrangment, both belts using fan pulley. That black bracket above drivers side valve cover is a "pull' point for chain.. Thanks all for the help.. Bob |
