Weird vibrations...
yesterday i installed new sway bar bushings and when i was finished i took her out for a test drive and it handled great. but then this morning i took the truck out again to go a couple places in town and i noticed some abnormal vibrations when i accelerated from a stop. then it sorta went away around 35-40. when i got home i looked over everything and couldn't find anything out of the ordinary.
i know there is some smart guys on this site, so anyone have any ideas?

Re: Weird vibrations...
do you have a one or two piece driveshaft? the carrier bearing on a two piece is always good for a vibration...

it is difficult to diagnose with out driving it but the fact that you don't feel it as much between 35-40. i suspect 1 or more of your tires is out of balance. installing new sway bar bushing is not going to cause a vibration, technichly sway bars only affect your suspension dynamics in a turn or uneven road surface. this post got my thinking about some of the pranks we would play on coworkers when i was at the dealer. when no body was looking we put a bunch of stick on weights on one of the other guys wheel or drive shaft and it would make a crazy vibration |

Re: Weird vibrations...
I was chasing a vibration for awhile and it ended up being a bent rim. I could have the tire/wheel re-balanced and it would be better for about 500 miles then it would come back ?? I have had them balanced 3 times now within 3,000 miles since I cant get ahold of decent rims yet.
I went as far as 4 brand new tires, wheel bearings, new u-joints and balance and motor/trans mounts. All those things where not the issue, but it didnt hurt to do
