edelbrock fuel pump 1721

anyone use the 1721 fuel pump, having fuel pressure issues and thinking about putting one in and was wondering if anyone has used one with a 1406 or similar carb and how well it works. I tried a pressure regulator but it got to hot and was heating up the fuel

Re: edelbrock fuel pump 1721

I use that fuel pump on 69.It has a mild 350 with vortec heads.Probably makes somewhere around 330-350Hp.

Using 1/2 line from the fuel cell to the pump. Then 3/8 from the pump to the carb.I had it revved 6500 the other day it still was running fine.

One thing I didn't like about it is the you have to take the pump apart and "clock"The fuel ports where you want them.Pay attention to directions.

I also like it because it's made in the USA.
