I left the house for some bolts and came home with this.

I was tired of Digging through boxes of parts unable to find that right clip or screw from the few trucks i've had. Then making lists these past 3 weekends since my truck has been home and usually spending at least 1 whole day each weekend going to Dan's Classic (portland, OR) Followed by Zig's Street Rods (Newberg, OR) As well as at least 1 of the 3 wrecking yards I frequent within an hour of me. Since I pretty much know all the parts left right now at those yards;

My wife actually got on Craigslist and found this. Called the guy and set it up for me to go look at it the next day (yesterday).

I think she was tired of those wrecking yard trips too. LOL

Here is some pics of what I drug home last night.

Still has the Original 292 in it (Quit Running about 6 months ago I guess). The guy I got it from bought it from the original owner (still on the title) I wouldn't have known it was the original owner but I found a couple recipts in the truck that were interesting to say the least. The title says 70k original miles, The clock shows 89,000 now. No telling if thats true or not. but there are alot of things about this truck that make me think it might be.

Re: I left the house for some bolts and came home with this.

The guy was not affraid of messing up his paint job with some wrattle can thats for sure. 98% Rust free too. Other then the riight hand bed side its pretty straight too. Interior is almost flawless.

Only rust hole i could find anywhere on the cab was the RH kick panel. Rockers/Cab Corners are as solid as new.

Check out the orig. mat. still has all the padding and sound deadener under it too.

It is definatley nicer than i thought it was gonna be when you brought it home. I can't believe how flawless the interior is on it and the bed for being all original. I think we found a great craiglist find. Thanks for going up and getting it. Long day but worth it.

Nice find! I only wish....
Was the 'truck cab' a topper (or whatever you guys call them)? Two windows each side. Only thing I can think of.

Re: I left the house for some bolts and came home with this.

That makes sense, to me, that it was a topper for the bed. I bought one for my '65, in '77, that cost me almost $500. It was insulated, paneled and had crank-out side windows but didn't extend above the top of the cab. The $18 installation was the labor and two-sided tape used to install it. The Coronado mirror was added to help rear vision w/the camper that he had installed. Does the right-side mirror match the left-side mirror? I'm gonna hazard a guess that they don't match, exactly.

that would explain the bed floor being almost perfect and still showing some of the original black paint.

Whats up with the rear window? Is that the way they were or was it an option? My 69 is a lot larger

Re: I left the house for some bolts and came home with this.

Aunt Jemima - the small window was standard in 67.

Nice find, looks like alot of good parts. Why don't you make us all weep by telling us what you paid for it, I'm guessing you got a great deal.

The Guy I got it from said it had a canopy on it since it was new. He had just got rid of it recently.

It's cause its a 67. Only year for the small window the larger window was an option in 67.

Nope, Not a V6. 292 I6. He said it would start but it blew up about 6 months ago and he parked it. However, he did say it would still pull itself up onto the trailer. I didn't bother hauling out a battery to try it. I just hooked on the winch and drug it on and got a move on.

Looks like as soon as I get back over there and change my billing info on my Site membership I will have a bunch of parts to go.

Nice '67! I seem to remember 'Security' brand toppers. (or camper shells, as they are called around here). 18 bucks to install! That kind of money, you best be installing that new mirror, too, Bub!

The inside door opening handles are original for 67.

I didn't even notice that they were different till you said something.

Things I did notice about this I had never seen before were:

Ignition bezel is smaller then all the other trucks I have had.
The guage cluster is brown in color. (I know they dont repro those)
wing window locks are differnt.

I bought this whole truck to get the door panels and window regulators out of it.

I think i might use the bed wood and just cut it down to install in my 57 stepper later on.

Other then that, is there anything else I'm missing that is 67 only? Or, even other parts I should go out and check for see if they are there and what kind of shape they are in? (I did see it still has the T3 headlights in it, and all still work High and Low beam)

Both correct for the 67's. This really is a nice truck, interior especially! Good score.

Nice lookin parts truck!

Glad to see you bought this instead of taking the parts of my truck while it was at your Father-in-law's shop like Adam suggested!

You going to get money bucket done in time for the Banks BBQ car show?

You should, she's lookin great!

Man I can't believe you're gonna part that truck out, I think you guys are too spoiled out there on the west coast LOL. The ones we fix here in the rust belt aren't anywhere near that good!

That was one awesome find. I'd keep the truck, and the woman who found it!! Sounds like both are keepers.

I should have it close enough to be able to bring it. Not totally sure yet. However, I do have a couple parts for you

since no one mentioned it... you commented on the inst panel bezel... if you notice, the glove box door matches it. That's how GMC did things back then. red, blue, tand, green, and black (all with matching glove box doors) I think that's all the colors they had.
