removing leaf springs and helper bag ?'s
I'd like to get the rear of my 1 ton down a little and I'm not sure how to do it. I already added shackles, hangers, and removed the overload and one leaf. I will be adding some helper bags so I can tow my car hauler, other trailers later.
Can I remove one more leaf and it not get too bouncy/unsafe, still 7 left in leaf pack? Approx how much will removing one leaf lower it? and which do I remove? the highest hole in the lowering shackle will lower the truck right? EDIT: after some more searching it seems the consensus is that I can remove 3 of the original 8 leafs. That sound about right?
