GMC Pauls Auto Transmission Crossmember

Can someone please help me out and tell me which holes in the frame to mount my gmc pauls automatic transmission crossmember to. There are a few different holes in the frame. I am putting a 327 v8 hooked to a 700r4 trans. Measurments and or any other info would be greatly appreciated to. Is this way right?? Photos enclosed. Hope to hear from some one soon. Thanks

Re: GMC Pauls Auto Transmission Crossmember

I'm using a stock X-member from a donor truck. I thought I'd just leave it un-bolted until I get my tranny then see where it needs to be.

Re: GMC Pauls Auto Transmission Crossmember

thats the best way to do it.
Since the 700R4 was never installed in these trucks then it is safe to assume there may not be holes there already.
I would drop the engine in and mock it al up, then drill as needed.
