Slugish engine questions
Hey guys,
I have a 84' k10 with what i think is just a stock 350/T400 combo... The engine has a Edelbrock intake and matching carb... headers going into dual pipes that have new 40 series flowmasters dumped.. In front of the flowmasters my pipe guy left the old cherry bombs on there.. He told me they were shot and was the same as putting new pipe on.. also The truck has a 6 inch lift and 35's. Seems to me that in the past week or so the truck seems to be getting slugish. Not sounding as good as i think it should and just all around acting sick.. Not starting on the first try, in reverse she acts like im backing some heavy trailer.. Tranny shifts good... Just ughhhhh... Any way... Should i do the obvious first? plugs, Wires, Cap/rotor.. These are all the same that were on when i bought it.. Does the MSD stuff make a diff. on a stock engine?? Thanks guys.. Will Last edited by Mrwlliam; 07-11-2009 at 08:32 PM. |

Re: Slugish engine questions
Thanks guys... I did a complete tune up, even flushed out the power steering box and refilled.
The trck is starting now on first try, new peoblem .. The started is starting to drag or something.. After she fires, seems like the starter is staying ingaged and rubbing the flywheel.. getting that loud shreeek noise.. Going to change out starters.. see what that does. Any input? |
