Bed to Frame Mounting Questions....

Getting ready to mount the bed back to the frame and have a couple quick questions....Its a wood bed if that makes any difference!

1. There are 10 mounting locations on the frame...but the mounting kit only has 8 bolts....Do I indeed need two more bolts or do I leave two bolts out...and if so, which two do I leave out?....Second cross sill from the front?

2. In the assembly manual it appears to show rubber pads or as they call "Cushions" that get installed between the bed and the frame....My truck was all original and there was no "cushions" installed that I recall....Do I need em or not?

Thanks in advance....
Here's a pic of the bed - Fresh outta paint!

Re: Bed to Frame Mounting Questions....

Second rail from the front gets no bolts. you dont need the pads, I have seen a few with them, but most dont have them.

Re: Bed to Frame Mounting Questions....

dont use pads if you like the sound of metaltometal squeaks// dont forget to install a ground strap so you're lights work properly

skchevota you are right about the second sill not getting bed to frame hardware. About the pads, I would use them if possible only if the body lines still met after installed.
