Im devising a way to switch off one coil and switch on the other one at the same time, just momentarily, maybe have two switches one for the engine coil and another for the rear coil, no a button not a switch, then you just turn off the engine coil for a milisecond, rev the motor then switch on the second coil, hey that'll work!

Your welcome, try to keep links in mind for helpful information. Rather like being able to do something like that myself instead of a shop.

It won't do any damage to your engine, all you're doing is igniting the unburnt fuel that is exiting your engine. If anything, it's good for the environment!
The safest way to make the nice orange flames is to make a setup using a chainsaw oiler and use kerosene. Run a tube from the pump in your cab to a hole in your carb spacer. Rev the engine up, squirt in some kero and hit the magic button. At least that's what we did in the 60's.

If you switch you existing coil off, your engine will quit and you may get some detonation!!!
You do not turn off you existing coil.......leave that to run the enigine, the switch is so that the "secondary" coil isn't on all the time, or the next time your running it hard, and have to let off quick...to say STOP in a hurry, your engine will run rich for a second and wooooooosh flame on.....so you use a switch to brake power......no power no spark no flame when you don't want it.... E-mail me and I will give you more detailed instructions... And to the "nice theory".....What makes you think this is "theory" and not a proven technique???....I am insane enough to have done this you know (just not on my cars!!.....) one question....do you have a manual choke...this makes it a lot easier....
