Got my engine in!

This is a truck that I have had for about 8 years, but a few months ago, I really started working on it. So far, I have replaced the front brakes, pulled the original original engine and trans out, cleaned and repainted the engine bay, and put my 67 Camaro's old low milage 350 in it and serviced the transmission. I put a set of dynomax headers on it, part# 85003 I think. Easiest set of headers I have put on in my life. I took about 20 minutes for me to install them start to finish. I didn't have put the truck on ramps either. Passenger side went in from the top and drivers side went in from the bottom. I think it turned out well. Next I plan to service the rear brakes, differential, and try to find a nice looking set of wheels for it. I plan to use this primarily as a parts hauler, pulling a trailer, or just short trips around town. When I finish college, I'll have the interior redone and paint it.

Oldest picture of the truck I have.

new engine getting ready to go in. I decided against the flex fan, and put a stock type 7 blade clutch fan on it.

put in a few old gauges I had laying around to monitor the engine's vitals

truck as it sits today.

Nice job on the motor looks great. In the pics your upper rad hose appears to be to long and very close to the radiator. But thats just my observation.

Very clean. Love the stock air cleaner. Did you have to modify to work on the Holly? Nice work.

The only thing I had to do was make another stud for the air cleaner.

love the truck, looks awesome, i agree with the rad hose possibly being too long, and why not go electric fan? less drag, more horsepower......just a question....

building it on a budget. my goal this weekend was to just to get it running. I'm not concerned with horsepower with this motor because its just a stock 350. Horsepower is what I have my 500 horse 67 Camaro for.

it leaks, and since i'm not actually driving the truck right now, i'm not worried about replacing it.
