The Big Show Tomorrow!!

Anybody in the Los Angeles/So Cal area, Saturday night is the annual Cruise Night in downtown Glendale!! From what I understand, they have around 500 cars/trucks, etc registered for the event! Last year, they estimate 35,000 people showed up for the event! It's one of the biggest cruise nights around. Lots of fun in a great area for restaurants, bars, etc...

Plus, where can you see SHA NA NA perform for free these days?! (ok, that's probably all they do is perform for free, but whatever). Anyway, the show runs from 5:30 - 10:30 on Brand Blvd between the Glendale Galleria and 134 freeway.

Hope to see some fellow 67-72's out there!

Don't forget your camera...those of us in the far regions of the country would love to see them. CA is the Holy Grail for custom cars and trucks...we would all love to see some nice trucks!

Re: The Big Show Tomorrow!!

Thanks for the reminder. I'm gonna try to make it and will take loads of pictures. But I'm out in the 95+ degrees all day tomorrow building a wine-bottle/mortor wall. I may be toast by 5.

I'll take some pictures of the chicks... I MEAN, of the cars and trucks... If any of you see my truck, stop by and introduce yourselves! I should be parked in close proximity to a '63 Continental convertible and a '70 MGB convertible...

Just noticed you're in Kent. I have a cousin over in Maple Valley, along the river. I love that area. There are some real clean work trucks up that way!

Re: The Big Show Tomorrow!!

The show last night was fantastic! It was about 100° out and humid (for these parts!), but after a few beers, we didn't know the difference. There were around 450 cars in attendance. About the widest array of cars, trucks etc you could imagine. Here are a few pics. Not too many of "our" trucks, but here are the ones I saw.

That may have been what this was. I believe it was sitting on a newer chassis and may have been a diesel... That would be a great set up if that is what it is...

No, that was the only picture, but I can tell you it was sitting on bags. it was pretty sweet.

I would have taken more pictures, but the temp was hovering around triple digits with T-storms in the distance. We walked around for a few minutes, then ducked in somewhere for a beer, then repeated for about 6 hours...

Interesting sidenote to nothing, I had a For Sale sign in my window during the show. So this German guy calls me yesterday and came by the house to look at it. Turns out he's looking for a truck for his buddy back in Hamburg... who has a website that is kind of a directory for the local... shall we say "ladies of the evening"... He wants a classic truck to ADVERTISE HIS BUSINESS! He wants to put a couple big screen TV's in the back, plaster advertising all over the sides of it, etc... Well alright then!!! I'll find out today if the guy wants it or not...

He will send you a cashier's check for $75,236 and all you have to do is send the excess back to him and then he will send shipping information after he receives his money
