Re: i want some bodywork tips!

with stripping all the way to bare metal theres a few ways... wire wheel, 36 gritt sand paper, ginder..ect.

When spreading filler make it as smooth as possible to make sanding easier... when applying filler your supposed to go to bare metal but glazing putty can be applied over a scuffed surface... sand in an X patter not up and down or side to side. when using a grinder hold it flat to not gouge the metal. when welding go slow... heat will warp panels...

when working on say a truck fender have another project like the roof or bedside.. switch between the two so you don't burn out.

Get a 5 Gallon bucket to sit on.

fiberglass filler can make you itch.

wear safty glasses and a dustmask.

"You get what you pay for" don't expect cheap tools to preform well.

when sanding filler start with 36 then 80 then 180 prime block with 180 prime wet sand with 600-800.

MEASURE when making stuff or doing patch panels... Get a good pair of tin snips.

"Durablock" is my favorite sanding blocks. there foam ones are amazing. Get some in various sizes. You can also use a paint stick wraped in sand paper.

get your self a few body hammers... dont try to do body work with a claw hammer.

If you thnk of any questions PM me.
