Found a couple of burbs???
Found these two burbs, both 70 chevs, one has a GMC front clip and is a 3/4 ton, the other is 1/2 ton with a 68 chev front. I can get them for about 300.00 apiece. I am going to go look at them but thought id check out what everyone thought.
Thanks Vance |

Re: Found a couple of burbs???
i'd say go for it, if you have the room. there's probably plenty of good parts on them.

Re: Found a couple of burbs???
Sweet! Are you parting them or building? Does the brown one have a liftgate/tailgate?

Re: Found a couple of burbs???
Are they very rusty? I may be interested in a whole cab sometime this summer if the one u don't use is good. Also is the OD green one an ex army truck with the ID plate on the glove box? Any possibility you would be interested in trading for a 73 front suspension x-member with disc brakes?

Re: Found a couple of burbs???
$300 each is nothing for those suburbans. If that were a deal I found they would already be in my driveway. You need to buy them before someone else does. Your chances of finding two decent 67-72 burbs for $600 again are going to be slim.

Re: Found a couple of burbs???
I don`t see an o.d.green one. That brown one has the`70-only original color on it.How`s the rust on that one.I see the yellow one has some typical rust.
I`d go for it.Are they home yet? I`d offer $500 for the pair. How are all the doors on yellow one?I`d build the brown one using what I needed off the yellow one and sell off the extra. parts.can`t go wrong

Re: Found a couple of burbs???
I was going to buy these burbs, the seller is a board member, works mainly on 60 to 66 trucks. Great guy. Yellow one is trashed tons of rust, Brown one is pretty straigt, 3 of the 4 ambulance doors are in good shape.
Just no place to store them.

Re: Found a couple of burbs???
use the rusty one for a (gasp) tahoe build. a nice straight truck deserves a resto in my opinon. are they both 2wd or 4wd? i'd use the 3/4 ton parts if they are the same drive train configuration and just run with disc brakes on the front as 70's have drums. my 72 burb 3/4 ton 2wd has bigger disc brakes than 1/2 ton trucks, so it doesn't need an upgrade!
