Re: voltage regluator pics

Convert to an internally regulated alternator and be done with it! You will THANK yourself, let me tell you! I've done this on every GM vehicle I've ever owned and never had a problem afterward.

Here's the FAQ: http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=119379
I used an alternator out of an '86 Silverado.

Re: voltage regluator pics

One wire is different from a factory oem internally regulated alternator. Don't use a one wire alternator,e ven though you see them advertsied all the time and everywhere. I have one and it does not charge at low rpms unless you rev it up to "turn on" the self-energizing internal regulator. It's annoying if you spend most of your time at low rpms, like most of us do.

Awsome! Thanks for the tip and the LINK....
Going to do the Headlight and Alt upgrades next.

Less parts the better! Is what I always say.
