Re: rear disc brake kit

I've been following this thread. These look and sound very promising. The guy that make them just replied today and said he's going to work up a new batch...

Re: rear disc brake kit

OK now I'm totally confused.
The Black.. kit on travis' Blazer is $500+, uses a GM caliper, looks to be bolt on. Plus they sell the hose and bracket pack for $45.
The Speedway brackets are weld-on, the kit is $350.
The camaro set is $110 for the brackets then find your own rotors etc, seem to be about $350 by time you're done using used parts.
The Wildwood kit is $450?

So the only differences I'm seeing is bolt on is more expensive and the ability to use all GM part numbers, and whether or not you want e-brake?

Re: rear disc brake kit

Tvblazer, what calipers does your kit use? The Caddy ones?

Re: rear disc brake kit

So it looks like the blackbird kit is the way to go but it is going to cost more than 400 bux. It's 400 for the kit then another 45 for the hose kit. Then you have to pay to ship I am assuming. I would have loved to get it for 400 shipped that sounds more than reasonable.

Was the calipers in the kit new or rebuilt ones?

Re: rear disc brake kit

What backspace did you guys go with the speedway is asking 3" or 1.94"
That seems the cheap way to go for me with part number
91031933
or
91031934

is cheaper than a drum rebuild and sounds darn easy?
