Console lid strap
The strap on my console lid broke. Does anyone know where I can get a new one? I'd like to keep it original looking.

Re: Console lid strap
Got pics.? Could use picture hanging cable, stainless steel. I don't know what the ends look like, but electrical connectors might work, then crimp or solder onto cable

Re: Console lid strap
What Jaros said, you could come real close to orig.
I don't think, at least I have never seen any, these are reproduced. The aftermarket console I had didn't come with the strap, so I did what Jaros suggested, looked real close to orig. I used electrical wire, like 14 or 16 gauge, black, and used crimp on wire connectors. Only way to get an orig one is to find a trashed or parted out console. I think the straps are the same in any year console, meaning round cup or rectangular seat belt holders. I would post on the parts thread, one of the guys that rebuilds them probably has an extra.

Re: Console lid strap
Yep, that the item (couldn't take a picture since the Blazer is in the garage at home and I'm at work).
It appears to be a plastic coated wire.
