Top Radiator Hose
The top hose on my 69 GMC 350 was made by splicing a piece on to reach the radiator. What hose is the correct one, and where can I get one !
Thanks Mike |

Re: Top Radiator Hose
Any parts store should be able to get you the correct one unless your radiator is not original and has the top hose connection in a different location than oem. You can also use a wire coat hanger to mock up how the hose should be routed and to the proper length and then try to match that up to different hoses at the parts store that might work. You can also use a universal fit flex hose, though they look like crap to me.

Re: Top Radiator Hose
I got mine at Auto Zone. The stock one. I used to run an ugly flex hose.

Re: Top Radiator Hose
I had a hard time finding one myself, had to get it from napa. it was for a '71 or 72 350 2wd, unless you have the two piece hose, which autozone had those.

Re: Top Radiator Hose
I already tried NAPA, Autozone, and Advance Auto. NAPA even let me go look but nothing was close LOWDOUGH do you remember the part number? I also had them look at 71/72 350 It is frustrating as they don't want to look up anything in a book just on the computer.

Re: Top Radiator Hose
i looked at Auto Zone online for a 71 Chevy w/ 350. Upper Rad. Hose
part number: XL-114 for the Kelly Springfield / Hose (Upper) & Part number: 60715 for the Goodyear / Hose (Upper) (this one would more than likly be a special order) I also just looked up your application (69 GMC C10 / 350). It shows to be the same one. (like i thought they would realy be different) I can't believe they can't find it in there system. PS: I hate looking in books. Hell, I don't even know were most of them are. That's probably the case with your stores. Books are a pain. Hope this helps Last edited by LOW DOUGH; 07-24-2009 at 04:15 PM. |

Re: Top Radiator Hose
Gates Hoses Upper 20827, Lower 20694
Napa Upper NBH 7459, Lower NBH 7463 I recently bought new upper and lower Gates hoses using these numbers and they fit perfect. Don't have any experience with the Napa ones. |

Re: Top Radiator Hose
I'm pretty sure I got mine at CarQuest. That's where I my nearly all of my parts.
The number on the hose is EBP D1 80MH 46. I would avoid using a flex hose if at all possible. They can put undue stress on the radiator neck(s)

Re: Top Radiator Hose
The hose they looked up was only 23 inches long. Ok I think I figured it out. I don't think the hose needs the piece they put on. This is what I have, I just put in the Radiator today. THANKS EVERYONE !

Re: Top Radiator Hose
your motor is moved back to the inline 6 position, which is the same as the 4X4 position. If you get a hose for a 4 wheel drive, it'll work fine.
