Carpet vs Rubber mat
Here is another interior poll to see which is the more prefered interior floor covering. I myself have the rubber mat and really enjoy it. Don't have to worry about stains!! Very easy to clean. So let's see what everybody thinks.
Carpet or Rubber mat

Here is my take on the poll.
I am too used to Humvees that you can hose out if they get dirty inside. But, I like carpet 'cause it insulates against road noise and header heat. My conclusion; Rhinoline your floor and throw a rubber mat in there. |

I agree, spray in bed liner on the inside is the ultimate!
I have carpet and kinda hate it. I get dirty and so does my carpet. Its just more trouble then its worth. I say go rubber over carpet, but spray in bed liner would be the best. I plan to do it one day.

Hey Guy,
Post some pics of your guage cluster and tell all how you made the mounting plate for the guages. Looks like great work!! Start it under a new thread 'cause there have been many questions on it lately. Just a suggestion. |

I like the rubber mat over the carpet too. adding lining inside the cab i never thought of that sounds good.

I'm going rubber later on. I've got carpet now but it's faded and I hate cleaning it. I'd rather just wash out the rubber floor.

Gary,
Where did you buy your rubber mat? I have one now that was made for a floor shift truck. I'm going to replace it soon so I'll have the large hump rubber mat for sale. :p |

Depends on how you use your truck.
My .02 : I like carpeting in my daily driver. It's much quieter, cooler, warmer and just feels better when I don't want to wear shoes. Currently my truck has nothing. That's how it was when I got it and I haven't had the time to put it the new pad and carpet. Rubber mat was nice in the dump truck. When the mud got too deep, all I had to do was take it to the car wash and hose it out.

I POR'd my cab and threw a rubber mat and floormats in there. Nice and easy and doesn't look bad, actually.
Seems to me that carpet would be a lot nicer. My vote is rubber for 4wd and carpet for 2wd. -- Mike
