Re: Radiator overflow bottle

I converted my windshield washer bottle into a coolant overflow bottle. Worked out great.

Re: Radiator overflow bottle

I believe that some of the vendors have them for sale. I'd check with Wes at classicheartbeat.com.

Re: Radiator overflow bottle

Your post sounds like you are looking for a stock one. They didn't come with one at all. So just pick up a new one at any parts store. Super cheap.

Re: Radiator overflow bottle

Back in the day... we used to clamp a 16 oz. Schlitz can to the support... maybe more stock looking than you think !

Re: Radiator overflow bottle

Not factory, but the ones that Wes had look like they would be factory. They actually look like the washer container. I think they are quite affordable if you really want one.

Re: Radiator overflow bottle

Thanks for the tip. I'll be trying to get one .Did the 73 era truck start coming with the bottles? maybe that would be the best place to start with for the period correctness of it all .Just want my dogs to live healthy and no mess under truck .Look nice to Thanks all

Re: Radiator overflow bottle

Here's a pic under the hood of the RestoRod w/ one of Wes' overflow bottles mounted on the passenger side. Low cost, looks stock, works great. The bottle and mount are the same as the windshield washer... the bottle cap is the part that's hard to locate.
