Re: Opinions? Ebay Patina/Rat Rod find

If your wanting a bagged truck this isn't a bad deal. It looks like they did a decent job but i would want to inspect all the welds especially were they shortened the frame and c notched over the axel if it is. If all is good I'd say go for it if thats what you want in a truck because if you wanted to bag a truck it would cost alot of money especially if you had to pay someone to do the fab and welding. What bagged74 said is true as far as the price of parts but for someone to do all that fab work would cost a pretty penny. But you would be buying a project thats for sure.

Re: Opinions? Ebay Patina/Rat Rod find

This is the same truck that I posted on the Boss 338 thread. He was asking $5800 there. To me it was worth it.
And if that's a $1500 truck with bags and big wheels,... I'll buy as many of those $1500 dollar trucks as you can find me. Ha.
It had people around it all day at the Des Moines, Iowa Goodguys event.
It was funny,... parked next to it was a high dollar ride,... but people were attracted to the '68.
All of this is just my opinion. (Buy it NOW)

Anyway, do the math: wheels and tires, air ride (valves, bags, tank compressor and lines) Art lower a-amrs, rear watts link and notch.....this is a running and driving truck that I feel is worth the money at 6k and he is very honest in his description....just my .02
I am with this guy. I have close to 4 grand in my truck and it isnt moving yet. Granted I have everything I need to have her on the road but I still havent bought my wheels. 6 Grand is about right for this truck. I would buy it in a min if I still needed a truck

like I said if thats a $1500 truck, i will buy all of them you can find for that price. The one I just sold was not as clean as that one and it brought $2800 the day after i listed it.

All of these guys that say these trucks arent worth much are the same guys that would be asking big $ for them if they were the ones selling them.
