?ow that I am getting closer to finishing my project, i'm thinking of a custom phrase. so far I have..... ursuvscks, yrsuvsucks, ursuvsucks, 4wdusaonly, real4wdrusa, yursuvsux, ursuvsux, usasuvonly

Personally, I would avoid the sucks/sux theme.... maybe just me, my age & a reflection of the way I was raised, I dunno.

good idea, but think shorter...
most states only allow 6 or 7 characters on custom plates. Very few states even offer 8 characters, FL is one of them, but only certain plates can be had in 8 char. If you want some of the special issue plates with personalized chars, you might be limited even more.

so, look into your state's DMV requirements for personalized plates.
Also, keep in mind, they often want an explanation for your character choices, and will refuse anything at their own discretion.

my dad has SEA NRGY on his plate(we're in the ocean renewable energy biz.)
and my truck has 'WILDSIDE', since I got the plates, my reg has expired and the tags never made it to the truck. When it's put backtogether, it will have them put on
btw- from what I've heard if they think it's crude, or hard to read/remember they will not give it to you. In FL they give you 3 choices, just my permanent smart ass behavior made me put 0O0DO0D0 (o's d's and 0's) as my first choice, I couldn't give a good explanation, so they didn't give it to me. It'd be so damn hard to figure it out, I just had to try.
