need help finding out production numbers on 67-72 pickups

I need help trying to find out production numbers on 1967 - 1972 gmc and chevy pickups. I was also looking for info on how to break down the vin numbers on them. If anyone knows any web sites that would help it would be greatly appreciated. The sites that I have found all say different thing. Don't know what ones are correct.

Re: need help finding out production numbers on 67-72 pickups

Found this on the burb board... i'll put it on the truck side.
Here is a link to our VIN decode page, and also model number. While it is not perfect, it is very close, and is better than the one someone liked on GM's own site. A 72 would have an extra C in the begining, and there may be an 8 instead of a 1 in the 6th digit (7th on a 72) but otherwise, it is pretty much dead on.
This is for chevy only... GMC is complicated, chainged a few times, and even chainged in mid year at one point if memory serves.

As for production numbers, they do not break it down by option packages, engine size, or anything like that. Simply by 2 wheel drive verses 4X4, engine family, wheel base, bed style, and GVW range.
Honestly, I'm not going to type out all the production numbers for every style of truck from 67 - 72. If you have something in particular, I can look it up.
GMC numbers are not avalible.
