help with production numbers and vin break down on 70-72 blazers
I need help trying to find out production numbers on 1970 - 1972 chevy blazers. I was also looking for info on how to break down the vin numbers on them. If anyone knows any web sites that would help it would be greatly appreciated. The sites that I have found all say different thing. Don't know what ones are correct. Is there a way to tell a factory 2wd blazer from a 4wd converted to a 2wd by looking at it or were they all the same body?

CKS is 6cyl 4x4, CCS is 6cyl 2wd. CKE is a v8 4x4, CCE is a v8 2wd. Just look at the first 3 letters and you got it.

Re: help with production numbers and vin break down on 70-72 blazers
Factory 2wd blazers will be coil sprung in the rear. The frame rails bow out for the upper spring seat. 4x4's have straight frame rails and are obviously leaf spring setup. If you see a 2wd blazer that has leaf springs it is definitely a conversion. Its pretty easy to tell by just looking at the frame and suspension.
Or you could just look at the vin
