Does anyone know where I can get an electric fuel pump kit for a 67 283?

Summit. I wouldn't run an electric pump unless I had to.

Re: 67 283 electric fuel pump kit

I have been stranded several times over the last 20 years & I wondered if an electric pump would be more reliable.

Re: 67 283 electric fuel pump kit

I'm not sure if they are all that more reliable although I have had one of those little square cheapies from Schucks (out of the blister pack on the wall) Facet Purolator I think for years on my 71. It isn't a performance pump by any means though.

Probably one of the best things to help the reliability of any fuel pump is to put a filter between it and the tank to catch the junk out of the tank before it gets to the pump.

Have never seen a kit. It would be a custom install. Electric pumps are also noisy. I would trust a mechanical pump more than an electric pump. Just be sure to get a good quality mechanical pump and be sure that the sock filter on the end of your in tank pickup tube is new and that there is no gunk in the tank.
