Anybody built their own speaker kick panels?

I was looking around because I want to put some new speakers in my truck, and I really like the idea of the speakers in a kick panel. Has anyone built their own that turned out nice or should I just save and get some ABS plastic kick panels? Any pics would be greatly appreciated.
