center hump

whats up guys well while i was working on the rock the other day i took a brake and looked at my cabs floor well i seen that it was a 2wd drive cab lol and all this time i thought it was a 4wd cab anyway i have been looking for pics of a 73-80 floors but no luck so if it is not any trouble could yall post some pics of your floor that looks like mine

I don't have any photos, but I believe the center hump in 4wd/manual transmission is bolted in and higher. It should be the only difference, so if you took a removable hump and cut your floor it could bolt in. My truck was originally a 2wd with a 4spd and it has a high hump.

I hope its not too late to help. The pic is from a 79, 1/2 ton, 4x4, with manual and is factory original so this is the way it was manufactured. Let me know if you need others. In looking it appears mine looks like yours with the center hump section being bolt removable. The portion that sits under the seat is epoxied in place.

yea i think my floor has been cut already to make a 2wd drive cab to a 4wd the problem is who ever did they rivet it down and tic welded it because i know it did not come stock like that and it is rusting where it was cut before

no geunther it is not to late i have been looking everywhere but no luck so thanks now i know that my floor was hack on if it is not to much trouble could you show me a few more pics of the floor

I only have one other image here with me so Ive attached it. I also did a close up of the one already posted. I would be happy to take other photos when i get home post them this eve.

Mine shows no signs of any welding at least from what I remember. I only took the pics the other night. I will take a real close look tonight also.

thanks man well i scraped off more of the seam sealer and it has indeed been welded on and it has cut marks all over it and you can see where it has been over laped under the cab i dont know if yours is like that or not? anyway i took some pics so you can see what i am talking about

mhmm...looks like someone welded the rear cover right to the floor? it looks like you have the high hump 4x4/manual floor so it should be all good

if you want it to be removable again grind/torch/cut that section out, and make some tabs out of angle to bolt it back on. but I'm a lazy cuss, I'd just leave it

It appears the rear section of the hump is epoxied in from underneath. Mine shows no sine of cutting or welding.

thanks man for the help i guess if i can i will grind out the welds and take the hump out and clean it up and get rid of the rust and put it back stock
