WIW? 65 Suburban
A buddy of mine's old uncle has a 65 Burb. He offered it to me. Needs a resto. Old 6 cyl. smokes and knocks so it aint worth a darn. But it moves! Interior is rough and body has some rust but its managable. Good glass. What do you think? Whats it worth?

Re: WIW? 65 Suburban
Get some pics - from all angles - and the engine too. And tell us how much he wants.
Mac.

Re: WIW? 65 Suburban
Yeah - it is: If there's not too much rot/rust/dents. If it's fairly straight - that's a deal. Have you ever eyeballed it before and can he e-mail you some shots?

Re: WIW? 65 Suburban
I have eyeballed it, he has had this truck for decades but would never sell till now. I havent been by there in a few months but as I recall it was very straight just had the usuall rocker rust and a little door corner rust. Uncle Johnny probably doesnt know what a computer is much less email ha ha

Ah, right along ol' 540, huh? Beautiful country - especially around that big lake!

Re: WIW? 65 Suburban
MAC, Ive lived here since '91, but Ive been everywhere. I love it here, I wouldn't want to be anywhere else. It's definately nice to have the lakes, Beaver, Bull Shoals, Lake of the Ozarks etc....but IM A RIVER RAT! I like to hit the Illinois, Kings River, or the Buffalo River and do some Canoeing or Rafting, or Kayaking, hell on the 4th me and my crew floated 7.5 miles of Illinois River or $2 pool floaties from Wal-Mart. BUDGET FLOAT!

Re: WIW? 65 Suburban
What I like best about here....there is a classic truck in every other yard! I see so many...I just don't have time to knock on all the doors!

Re: WIW? 65 Suburban
Yeah - I know what you mean. I've only ever been to Beaver and the one at Hot Springs. Fayetteville University is beautiful and I've never seen such fierce football in my life.

Re: WIW? 65 Suburban
You might hollar at Morton (283man) to go look at it with you, he lives close by and he deals with parts and such.. But it sounds to me like a deal...
I didn't know we were talking SEC..

Make the score, Man. You can't really go wrong - if you've got some place to put it.
