Serpentine setup 4.3 on a SBC-V8?

Is it the 4.3 S-10 serpentine the one that fits a small block chevy 350-400CID? Anyone done this? Anything to watch out for?

I have always heard that it fits, but just recently, someone said that it doesn't. Now I'm confused and would also like to know the truth.

Re: Serpentine setup 4.3 on a SBC-V8?

I have a 4.3 Serp setup off an 1989 S-10 on the 350 that's in my Malibu. Fits like a champ. Just make sure to change the water pump to a reverse flow pump. Nothing like no squeeling belts and being able to change the belt in 30 seconds. Also make sure to carry an extra because if you lose a belt you lose everything (alt, WP and PS).

The 4.3 is a 350 they cut two cylinders off and the front drive will bolt on with the right water pump.
