Rear Glass gasket install

What do you guys do when installing the gasket on the rear glass? I'm using a percision gasket but I can not get the gasket to stay on. The gasket looks to be too big, and as soon as I seat the glass in the groove it slides right out. Any ideas?

I use Precision brand and I have never had that problem. I have always had to stretch the gasket to get them on. I would say that you may have a gasket for another year or make of truck. Do you have the old gasket that you could use for comparison?

no, I don't have the old gasket, and this is my 3rd gasket and they all have fit the same. Are they supposed to be tight?

Re: Rear Glass gasket install

Does anyone have the dimensions of what the rear glass should be? I'm wondering if mine was replaced at some point with the wrong size.

Re: Rear Glass gasket install

I always just use masking tape in a few places to hold it to the glass while I'm pulling it into place.
