Hello all gearheads. what i would like some help on is my 71 stepside bed. Ipurchased it with no crossills /wood or straps I also bought a 69 stepside for parts. It was disassembled when i got it. Does anybody have pitcure or a schemetic of the assembly or what book should i purchase. I went to gmcpauls site and downloaded the wood specs. but couldn,t find anything on crossill placement or distances. your expert help and guidance is always appreciated. BIGLOU55

do a search for Restoration Kits.

comes direct from GM and gives alot of the specs for your specific year. Its free for the call, all you need is the vin number.

I posted those numbers awhile back...

I can get you pics of a stepside bed with no bedwood in it, so you could see the cross sills... I'll upload the pics once I get home from work....

Canada charges but you can get specifics about your specific truck based on VIN. In the US you get it free but its generic information. Check with the moderator Rod, he's more familiar with it than I if you want more info.
