I have to have a set of cups today and couldn't wait to have them shipped. I can't find any round pipe locally to make them out of. Can I just make them square? A cup doesn't set down into the seat perfectly anyway because the lower control arm is molded to fit the outline of the coils. So, just wondering.

Also, am I correct that the lower cups are only mounted to the bag and not to the lower control arm?

Gonna have my wife monitor this thread while I am at the garage, so please respond back with your advice. Thanks.

if I didn't have round / tubing to make cups then I would just add a plate across the spring pocket and use that as opposed to using square for the cup bottom

What's the hurry?
I would wait for some round tube or wait to haved some shipped.
Actually I have seen people run no lower cup at all.

Unless you really are trying to slam the truck, just putting flat plate on the lower A-Arm should be within around 1/4" of how low you can get with the cup from what I've read. I'm either going to do that or put round tube in the lower A-arm so that the bag sits down into the arm and I can run more air in the bag when I'm driving. Not to get lower.

I have just a few days to get my truck rolling again and out of the garage, so I had to do something. I bought some 1 1/4" wide metal and bent it into a circle then welded 1/4" plate on top of it. The first one I made was too big (duhh moment) so I had to make some relief cuts in it and beat it back to angle into the hole. I welded the relief cuts back up and grinded them smooth. They look like they will work pretty good. They are 1 5/8 - 3/4" tall.
