Rust!
I bought a 1972 burb about 4 months ago replaced radiator went through elecrtical.. the works, then got burnt out
So i got the initiative to work on the burb i gotta quite a bit of body work, the top rear exterior corners somehow go rusted out and need replacing (ill post pics asap). Its a clamshell hatch in the back. I was curious if theres any after market replacements, or am i gonna have to try to fabricate them. Any help is much appreciated |

Re: Rust!
I've never seen patch panels for that area on the burbs, heck the lower panels are slim pickens. Maybe in time there will be one reproduced, but I'd say it looks like some metal fab is in your future.

Re: Rust!
20 gage metal will work make the patch out of poster paper when you get it to fit the area cut it so it will lay flat on the sheet metal trace it out then bend the metal back into the shape the poster paper was in hope this makes sense

Re: Rust!
My son in law will probably be parting out a 72 Suburban that has a pretty nice tub after Reno next week. He has tried to sell it but no bites. It has current registration even on it.
