I believe the brake line diameter is 5/16" for front and 1/4" for rear. WES

I believe Wes meant 3/16th not 5/16th. The rears are 1/4 and the fronts are smaller

Re: Need 'OD' sizes for front hard brake lines '72'
I just installed new SS lines on my 72. The hoses are different on each side up front. They change from the splitter that is located right below the master cylinder. The hard line that goes to the driver's side is a 7/16" nut and the passenger side is a 3/8" nut. Sounds crazy but when I ordered the rubber lines and they were both different, I questioned the supplier. Sure enough, when my brake lines came, they were both different. If you need some pics, let me know and I will take some for you.

Re: Need 'OD' sizes for front hard brake lines '72'
It looks like to me you have both the passenger and the driver's side line coming out of the proportioning valve. There are two lines that come out of the proportioning valve, one is for the rear and one is for the front. The front runs down and goes into a brass splitting block (I got mine at NAPA). From the splitting block, the driver's side goes up and over the front cross member and then turns out towards the wheel to the bracket where the rubber hose mounts into. The passenger side runs along the bottom of the front cross member with the rear line. Once it gets past the motor, it turns up and over the top of the front cross member and into the bracket where the rubber hose mounts. Hopefully the attached pictures show what I am trying to describe. You might also do a search....I found some great pics when installing mine from one of the members on the board. Good luck!
