Lightbulb WTB: Buddy buckets for my '72 in Minnesota

Subject says it all. I don't mind restoring them if they're priced accordingly. Likely will have them recovered with material TBD anyway once I figure out what I want my interior to look like. Have a set of '99-06 buckets and folding center seat (charcoal cloth) I had considered -- and still am considering -- using but for some reason the buddy buckets are starting to appeal to me. Might be willing to work those late-model seats into a trade for the right offer.

Let me know what ya got. And please, no "me too" replies -- pay for a subscription like I did and start your own WTB thread.

Thanks,
Brent

Re: WTB: Buddy buckets for my '72 in Minnesota

I just put a set in my 71 K20. The foams were decent so I just used those. Had the frame and console sand blasted, I painted them semi gloss black. I put a set of re pop covers on and I think they turned out pretty decent for my first time.

Finding a set for a decent price is difficult. Usually they start around 400 and go up from there. And then you have to restore them.

I really don't like breaking those down, boxing & shipping...and it looks like others don't either.
If you really want them, I will send a full set in two boxes for $600.

That's considerably more than I'm able to spend right now. I'll keep looking for something more local or at least with less gold content.

Thanks,
Brent

Would a set from a 69 work?

As long as they have the middle seat, yes. I'm not doing a restoration and I'll use anything that fits; year doesn't matter. PM sent.

They only made buddy buckets in 67/68. The buckets from 69-72 came with a center console that doesn't convert to a 3rd seat. Just wanted to make sure you were informed.

Ahh ... I see! Thanks for the clarification! No middle seat = no deal. Won't be able to fit all three kids in as it is, but I definitely don't want to be limited to just a single passenger.

Hard to see where I'm going if I'm just sitting on a frame.

Re: WTB: Buddy buckets for my '72 in Minnesota

They are kind of buried at the moment. I took the best pics i could without emptying the back of the truck. These were in a 66 c-30 motor home but didn't appear to be correct. Send me a PM if you want more info. I should be able to get them to nicollet for gas money if you are not in a hurry. Eric

Oddly enough, I just paid for a set less than an hour ago. Shipped from Wisconsin for $275 total so I couldn't say no. PM me anyway with a price on yours; I've got a couple other trucks that may need a set eventually.

Thanks,
Brent
