How much oil goes into each peice of the ac ?

For GMs in general, after the system has been flushed and has no oil, I usually put 3 oz in the compressor, 2-3 oz in the evaporator, 1 oz in the dryer, and 1 oz in the condensor, for a total of 7-8 oz; but according to my manual, a Harrison A-6 compressor needs 6 oz of oil. 10-11 oz of oil in a system seems like alot to me, so maybe someone else can confirm.

GM says 10 oz. of 525 visc. oil.
To check a system they say to " with the engine off, carefully crack open the oil drain plug on the bottom of the compressor. If oil comes out, the compressor has the required amount of oil." The other way is to remove the compressor etc. Here's more info that you should have;
