HEI Coil
What coil would you recommend to replace the stock one with. I dont have the engine for a msd box but would like to have a better coil.

If your distr. is not the stock ESC distr. then this would be the best route I can think of:

MSL,
On my new motor, I used the Hypertech Power Coil kit, with a Petronix HEI Module (4-pin), The total for that stuff was around $125. I also backed it with MSD 8.5mm SuperConductor Wires, which were another $50..personally, I think for the money, it's the best ignition (I personally don't believe anything but FULL OUT race motors need boxes...) |

I have had a few friends use Petronix and have problems with them within a few months. I would probly never use them myself after seeing what problems they have had.
ESC Electronic Spark Control (I think) Look at your distr., do you have a set of wires going from your distr. right into the firewall? If so those go to the "computer thingy" mounted behind your glovebox. If you dont have that, then you should have a 4-pin module. Take your cap off and look at your ignition module, is it 4-pin or 5-pin? The kit I posted works only with 4-pin. The price in the link I posted is good for all that stuff.
