Went to Gaylor today to price a Lid for BB ,the salesman indicated the price will be going up the First of next month.

I have a flyer from Central 4WD and they have them on sale.

Gaylord has just recently modified their molds to make them a little different. And I'm sure the oil prices are probably affecting prices.

They have a new one in R&D with a single handle on it instead of the two locks. Its been shown in the new May issue of Classic Trucks. The Garlord truck on the cover features it, and the new chevy 5 cylinder.

I don't know if he was BS me or not but he Quoted me 644. and said the May price would be 800.
I called them 3 weeks ago and was quoted 680. and one of there local Dealers will sell it to me for 619.
The price seem to change depending who you talk to.?But this time I got a name.and have 3 weeks to make a decision.

Wes ; Stop I'm trying to wait till the last minute to make my decision .
That looks nice.
Do you know how much room there is between the tailgate and the lid ,I have about a1/4" bow in my tailgate ,Gaylord said they woul just shim the installation hardware if needed.

Well Bill, I was just trying to help you make your decision...Hehehehe!!
You would probably be alright with a 1/4".. Greg's was installed too far forward so it rubs the back corners of his bed when closed and when he opens it the front of the top rubs the cab. Something that he says will be easy to fix and that he just needs to get around to it. WES www.ClassicHeartbeat.com

I heard that the new model will come down over the bed and tailgate more. Don't know if that would be a good thing on the paint.
