Lightbulb Be sure to paint the backside of a new bumper

Here's what happens to a new repro chrome bumper after 1 year when you don't paint the backside.

Luckily, I caught it before it got too bad. All the rust wire wheeled off and now it's all primed and painted silver. I did the back one before I installed it last fall and that one is doing good. I was in a hurry when I put this one on and kept meaning to take it back off and paint it but...

good plan, I'll do mine, there after market too, I have to replace my front after market bumper for a oem one, because I got a set of factory bumper guards and they don't fit the contour of the after market bumper, not even close, you probably couldn't tell the difference by looking at the two bumpers.

my bumper has always looked like that, i dont see any problem with the rust on the back
