I hope some one here has installed one of these before so I can save a few brain cells. Alos what are all the connections for are the two small ones by the fill a vent and return line connection??

Re: Gas tank relocation....help before I jump
I'm a first timer but I can show you what I did. I looked back and found some crappy pic. If I did it again I would have used threaded rod and come straight down out of the bottom of the frame on both sides. I think I tried to follow the instructions off the Brothers web site. If you want me to take pic of some thing just let me know. Hope this may help.
As far as the breathers I hooked my breather hose to the one next to the filler tube and I am having problems when filling. I need to take the cap off the one further from the filler tube so the fuel won't bubble out. I need to swap them and see if that helps out.

Re: Gas tank relocation....help before I jump
Thanks a lot, I sat in the shop last night and actually managed to come up with a similiar idea to yours. I trimmed some of the flange on both. sides and will come straight up to the frame. I got things all cut and will install tomorrow. I am going to place a rubber gasket between the frame and rank so I don't get and squeeking.
Great pics.

Re: Gas tank relocation....help before I jump
Well we know it will be level...
I am a fan of the Stabil levels also. Those tank relocation kits come with everything but instructions, and a fill pipe and rubber to go between the strap and tank and instructions and....

Re: Gas tank relocation....help before I jump
Hey Guys:
I am in about the same stage of the installation as y'all are. I am now hunting for the filler neck, housing and opening from a S-10 (94 thorugh 99 or so I have been told) so I can fill from behind the side marker on my stepside. I will subcribe to this thread so that I can follow your progress. |

Re: Gas tank relocation....help before I jump
Install went pretty smoothly once I figured out and got some ideas from above. Put some rubber between the tank and the frame. and if my measurement is right I'll pretty much have to loose the last be cross sill.
