Chevy question

Hello from Santa Cruz,
I just got on here and recently purchased a '63 C10 chevy. It seems like its running hot but in not sure. The engine is an '81 chevy 350 (the guy I got it from had changed it) and I have an aftermarket water temp sensor placed on the top of the manifold near the thermostat. Is that the correct spot? It has been reading between 210 and 220. I just put in a new thermostat (180F) which didnt seem to change a whole lot. Any help would be great!
Thanks, Jeremy

Re: Chevy question

Welcome from FT Worth TX. Is it a stock engine? Is there plenty of air flow through the radiator(sp)?
