Hello Everyone! Newby here!

I have had four Chevy Trucks, and just got another one, and may pick up another stray today!

Just got a 78 C20, 454 auto in pretty dang good condition mechanically, and cosmetically. It is in great shape body wise since we don't even know what rust looks like here in New Mexico. The motor runs strong and has about 180K total but got a backyard rebuild about 60K ago. It has a huge nice work rack on it that he threw in for free so Ill probably sell that.

The other one I am picking up today possible is a 1974, has a 4 speed and posi rear, and a lightly hopped up recently rebuilt 350 4 bolt main stout motor in it.

Have a question on the 78 though. The PO was lame at DC and when he kicked the plug off the end of the floor dimmer switch, he just rigged the wires back on then when he delivered the truck to me, he had kicked them off again so I don't know which of the three wires goes where on the floor dimmer switch. Do any of you guys have a 78 you can go look at and tell me which of the three prongs on the switch the lt grn, blue and tan wires go?

thanks and looking forward to the site!

Oh, my other Chevs were,

1976 LWB std cab 4sp, 250 six, posi rear.

1984 Blazer, HD Diesel, but swapped in a hot rod 350 LTI, 4x4 auto 700R4, posi in rear lockright in front 8in lift, 35 12.5 super swamper TSL's.

1979 SWB Auto 350, 4x4.

1978 C20, 3/4ton, 454, auto, Camper Special, that is what I have now.

Going to pick up the 1874, 4sp, posi rear 4x2, lwb, lightly modded 350 4 bolt main motor after work, just heard form the guy as I was typing this!

Thanks, been into the Chevy Trucks for years! Had one Ford, but never had anything but problems with it. Glad to be back in a Chevy or two! Shoot now I have (when I pick up the 1974 tonight) 5 vehicles with 4 wheels, and three with two!

Good thing i live on ten acres! Need the parking space!

Sniper: Greetings from L.A. I check the dimmer switch on my '78 and, from top to bottom, the wires are tan, blue, green. Hopes this helps.
